Aliveness

Many teachings point towards our desire for happiness, or bliss, as being what we are seeking
That being in these states is the pinnacle of personal and spiritual growth

However this seems to miss a key aspect of our being – aliveness

Characterized by:
Being fully engaged in the present moment, not separate, dissociated, lost in the trauma of the past, or dreams of the future
Rising to a challenge, either internally or externally presented
Actively using imagination and creativity – to contribute
Being on the edge of comfort – feeling the  thrill and invigoration of risk
Out of time – in flow, or total absorption
Active in our bodies – feeling the pulse, rhythm and touch
Connected – to a team /  community, to nature, to spirit, to all of creation
Being vulnerable to failure or success

Aware of the tingle of aliveness
Knowing that life, embodiment and breath are a priceless gift

Be ALIVE
