The great traditions teach of the importance of establishing a direct connection
The individual with the divine
Yet these traditions slide into hierarchy, some astonishingly deep
And the new age follows suit as teachers and students establish their schools and practices
And we fall in line
Seeking the connection through someone we respect and trust
Seeking wisdom, seeking healing
A real authority, with “credentials”
So much easier to consult the intermediaries and pay for the connection
Than to make the personal investment to connect and trust ourselves
Yet, so empty, another commodity
In many cases, intermediaries add great value
Between the farm and the table – many hands working
Between the forest and the furniture – many hands working
However, between the divine and the person – many people thinking, many people teaching, many people selling
Go Direct – to the divine
