Lucid

A number of traditions describe practices of lucid dreaming
The ability to be “aware” while sleeping and dreaming
And thus able to receive messages from dreams; or to direct the process and outcome of a dream

It is attractive to those who believe they can use dreams to manifest, or address issues such as those presented in nightmares, and is often portrayed as a consciousness “skill”

However another interesting and resourceful use of lucid consciousness is to engage in lucid “waking”
To recognize that “waking life” is a form of consciousness similar to a sleeping dream, and thus lucid waking is the ability to recognize this and navigate life from divine consciousness

In other words, the aspect of each of us that is divine consciousness engages in lucid waking when it is aware that “what we call reality” is similar to a sleeping dream
And then operates lucidly within this “reality”

To engage in lucid waking it seems useful to acknowledge the “deception” of waking reality, just as when lucid dreaming we realize we are dreaming
