Micro Notes

MayDay
In these very challenging times we are called to:
Resolve personal, ancestral and collective trauma
Be with suffering and cruelty (e.g. US gov’t activities)
Hospice the ending of Modernity and mass species extinction
Shadow work and soul loss
To name a few

One approach is to start with what ‘triggers’ us day to day and use these triggers mirrors and messages from spirit as the focus of our work.
And use our spiritual tools and skills (e.g. meditation, ceremony, sound, etc) to build our capacity for self-regulation in the face of chaos.
To continue to embrace inner transformation and our journey to greater authenticity.Trusting this work will manifest within and radiate from us to benefit those around us.
Being aware of all the ways we distract ourselves and dissociate from these times and this work (e.g. social media, games, interpersonal dramas, mental / intellectual ‘studies’).

Courage!

Burdens
On our backs we carry the weight of all the stresses of day to day, and our past life, both personal, familial, and some of us are also carrying the weight of the world (or some parts of it). It is important to take the time to sort through these burdens / weights. Some of them are ours to carry, and many of them are derived from anxieties and deeply triggered fears from the past. There is great relief in recognizing and releasing those burdens we have taken on but are not ours to carry (or carry alone).

The second type of burden are burdens of the heart. The pain and grief of our past and all the ways we protected and contracted to ‘stay strong’ in a toxic and cruel culture. It is worth evaluating how past heartbreaks and current heartaches have become burdens that have resulted in protection / contraction / hardness / brittleness, rather than the strength and resilience of softness, open-heartedness, and light-heartedness.
Laying down these burdens releases energy for greater authentic expression in the world and brings us more into presence.

Threat
There is nothing as threatening to the people around you, than transforming (fundamentally changing) who you are!

Blocked
When something we want to happen isn’t proceeding smoothly, there is often a part of ourselves we are not aware of blocking things. Discovering and working with this inner part, to learn why it is blocking and then resolving the inner push/pull, can be our most effective way to make things flow.

Modernity’s Delusion
The end of modernity (currently underway and gaining chaos momentum) is the end of an illusion and mass delusion.

Expression
We think that the opposite of depression is joy, happiness or bliss. But the opposite of depression is expression. Expressing who we are, via engaging in the journey to authenticity, is one of ‘becoming’ and moving from depression to authentic expression.

Disconnect
We often want to ‘disconnect’ from someone or something, yet we still hold strong emotions toward the person or thing (love, hate, anger, pity, admiration, desire, etc.) All emotions create a connection, a bond, and tether us to the person or thing. To truly disconnect we need to ‘dissipate’ the energetic charge of the emotion (the connection), and move to a space of energetic ‘neutrality’. Then we are truly free.

Medicine
True power comes from right relationship and right action. We shape energy and form in relationship, honoring the divine in everything, and ‘requesting’ our desires, in alignment with lifeforce, without adversaries. Setting boundaries while inquiring into mirrors and projections regarding power. Making medicine of the initiations that come from power mis-used against us. No longer acting harshly in response to our own woundedness. The deep power of generosity, kindness, softness, and resilience, in alignment with life.

Disposable
In our capitalist society, labour is competitive and ‘replaceable’. So people have become disposable. Untethered from our intrinsic value in community, but only defined by what we do. Combined with the burden of trauma, we turn to distraction, escape, cults, and the many pathways of addiction. But, we are not disposable, we are made from stars, and infinitely divine.

Choices
We always face choices.
1. To be who I’ve always been – life is life
2. I’ve done some healing, things are better, I’ll make camp – life is pretty good
3. I’ve done some healing, I have tasted authenticity, I’m ready to shatter – I want LIFE
