Stabilizing earth changes

This writing may result in some ruffled feathers and raised hackles, since it addresses some sacred cows, but in the spirit of fearless inquiry into potential dogma and delusion, here goes.

We find ourselves in the midst of global crises that are largely human caused. These include:

  • the current financial crisis
  • the looming crisis caused by human contribution to climate change
  • the current massive extinction of species world wide – and the great harm, suffering, and destruction inflicted on many other beings in order to satisfy human desires

Our natural response is to wish to act to improve these things and avoid further crises.

We also find ourselves on earth at a time of increasing changes coming from within the planet herself, and linked to other cosmic forces and shifts. These changes include earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, etc. And according to numerous prophecies these “earth changes” are likely to increase in the near future.

I think it is very important to distinguish between human caused crises and earth changes. The rest of this article will focus on earth changes. There are many names for earth – for this article I’ll use the term “pachamama” from the indigenous peoples of the Andes.

There appear to be two main types of “spiritual” initiatives underway in response to earth changes. The first of these are ceremonies, prayers, meditations and energetic work to “stabilize” or minimize earth changes. The second is “grid work” whereby energetic grids (generally these seem to be sky grids, rather than earth’s ley lines) are established that can be used to transmit energy around the planet, both in order to influence or control earth changes and to transmit various types of healing or “evolutionary energies” to humans. Both of these types of activities are in effect attempts to control pachamama, and the grids eerily resemble a cage placed around the planet.

The overall result is that pachamama has lost her status as a sovereign, sentient being with the right to change, and the practitioners involved have assumed that they have the right to control or influence how and when pachamama changes and evolves.

There are a number of beliefs that underlie and provide the rationale for this control. It is important to note that I am not questioning these beliefs, per se, but rather their application as a rationalization of control.

  • A quote often used is “we are the ones we have been waiting for” and it is time for humans to engage in “co-creation” with planet earth. This has been extended as a rationale for control
  • Humans have a special role to play on earth, and hence should act to continue human presence and avoid human destruction
    • Humans are the mechanism of “one consciousness” becoming aware of “itself”
    • Humans have a special purpose to bring greater consciousness to the planet; pachamama needs humans in order for her to evolve
    • Humans are essential for the transmission of energies from the cosmos to the planet
  • Humans are “next to god” and somehow above nature; so they are tempted to “play god”
  • Some spiritual practitioners have reached the point in their enlightenment that they know, or can channel from other beings or ascended masters, what is best for pachamama. It is interesting to note that direct communication with pachamama is seldom cited.
  • Also relevant here is mammalian brain programming regarding safety and protection of humans (see article – our mammalian brains)

No doubt there are great shifts occurring in human consciousness, including assuming responsibility for co-creation of the future – however it is not clear to me that these need to be linked to activities to control pachamama. Rather they might best be first expressed in controlling destructive human behaviour. However working to make these substantive changes is very challenging, so it is tempting to instead focus on less tangible spiritual projects.

What are some of the “darker” or shadow aspects of this control of pachamama?

  • The status quo is maintained and the current human crises, and human impacts on pachamama and other beings, continues or intensifies.
  • The status quo is maintained, and those who currently benefit from the status quo remain in power. Indeed a conspiracy theorist may propose that this direction of spiritual work and human consciousness is part of a program by various forces to maintain control. People engaged in this work believe they are doing something meaningful, and are engaged in a special purpose in service to others. This desire to be special and have a sacred purpose is easily capitalized upon.
  • The spiritual community involved in these activities reinforce human domination of nature and extend it to the planet herself – this could be termed “human supremacy”, and is an extension of the current evolutionary situation where the top predator calls the shots.
  • The spiritual focus and energy of individuals and communities is directed away from personal healing, enlightenment, or work on the current human caused crises.
  • Ironically the activities to control mother earth may have a significant “backlash”. If gradual and incremental changes are controlled or prevented by the direction of human consciousness then this may increase the likelihood of cataclysmic change, since pachamama may have to apply more and more “force” to undergo the changes she intends. Unless we are naïve enough to believe that humans can exert complete control of the planet’s inner workings.
  • The energy grids created in the name of stabilization and advanced spiritual purpose appear to make it more difficult for cosmic energies to easily reach, enter and be exchanged by earth.

My personal belief is that humans are only sustained on our little blue planet by the grace of pachamama and I’m inclined to encourage her to “rock and roll” in her evolutionary earth changes and trust her wisdom. And trust that humans will survive, evolve in consciousness and hopefully assume a role of authentic stewardship. It is already an amazingly interesting, if difficult, ride.
