Letting GO and Filling UP

We are burdened, and carry heavy personal, community and ancestral loads
From the stresses of the day to day; to the pressures to fit in with our families, work culture, or community; to the comparisons and competitions. Our toxic culture weighing us down and pulling us away from our authentic selves.
And more deeply within us, we hold the traumas of our personal history, past lives and ancestors.
And as chaos rises around us, and the meta-crisis deepens, our anxiety grows.
If only we could let it all go and be free!

Despite our wealth, privilege and resources we are empty.
We are hungry for wholeness, for something real in our plastic, fantastic, consuming culture.
The shots of dopamine and oxytocin never really satisfying.
We can feel the holes in our hearts, minds, and souls from culture shock.
Drowning in toxic individuality, delusional separation and lack of true community.
If only we could be fully ourselves, connected to lifeforce and love – sufficient.

Workshop Preparation

Letting GO
List the burdens you are carrying.
The Niggles – those things that prey on your mind, day to day, and are the result of the ongoing stress of life. The hurts, reactions, comparisons, pressures, etc.
The Middle Weights – those things that haunt you, that are triggered often and bring you down. The not good enoughs, the I’m too _____, the I can’ts, etc.
The Heavy Weights – the unresolved trauma carried by your younger selves. The parts that are frozen, dissociated, always ready to fight, the rebels, the desperate pleasers, the heart blocks, etc.

Note where these burdens live in your body, mind and spirit.
Choose which ones you are ready to let go of. Note: the sound session will be the beginning of the process rather than the completion. For many of the Middle Weights and Niggles – the source may be the Heavy Weights.

Filling UP
Search your heart, body, mind and spirit – list where are you empty. What is missing in these spaces, what would you like to draw into those empty spaces, those hungers, those contracted spaces, those hopeless spaces, to feel whole?

Workshop Process:
We will do two rounds of sound work.

Phase 1 – Letting Go
Circle: Describe what you want to let go of, where you hold it in your body, how it re-cycles through your life, and what you want the outcome of this sound work to be.
Sound work: 20 – 30 min. We will do a ‘regular’ sound session.
Then we will do an additional piece. Lie on your back with your arms raised to the stars, let yourself be soft, allow your arms (and whole body) to vibrate / shake with the sound and release what you want to let go of to the stars. ((Note: it is releasing, not ‘throwing away’ – what is thrown will boomerang back)).
Sharing and deepening of the sound work.
Drink water / breathe.

Phase 2 – Filling up

Circle: Describe where you are most empty (emotionally, spiritually, physically) and what you most want to fill up with.
Sound work: 20 – 30 min. Lie on your front and connect to Pachamama / Primordial Source of Creation and feel the fountain of energy rising from her and filling you. (Note: see article called ‘Grounding’). Feel lifeforce arising within you. You may also feel you are continuing to release through your back.
Then we will do an additional piece. Lie on your back and receive energy from the stars.
Sharing and deepening the sound work.
Drink water / breathe.
